The Canaries continued their impressive pre-season campaign with a victory against Spartan South Midlands hopefuls Biggleswade Town.
In a game that effectively opened Bigglewade's new stadium, Hitchin had to battle hard for their victory against a side that included former Canaries Liam Folds and Glen Lamacraft.
The home side took the lead after 25 minutes through Neil Morgan, who drove past Martin Bennett from 25 yards.
Hitchin equalised on the stroke of half-time through Paul Barnes, who netted from close range.
Barnes scored again in the 67th minute, finishing off a cross by Jon Woolf. And the scoring was completed on the final whistle when Scott Orphanou shot home against his former club from inside the area.
