The Canaries pre-season game at Arlesey was a non-event, with very little in the way of goalmouth action.
Hitchin had a number of players missing but welcomed back Scott Cretton after several seasons away. Aaron Cavill had the best chance of the first half with a lob that the goalkeeper just saved. Just after the break, a Mark Duckett free kick went close and then late in the game Wayne Mills shot just wide of the target.
“This was a useful work-out and Arlesey are the sort of side we will come up against next season,” said Assistant Manager Ken Gillard.
