Hitchin completed their pre-season friendlies with a narrow defeat at the hands of a strong Peterborough side.
Watched by Posh boss Barry Fry, the Canaries took the lead after 57 minutes with a textbook finish by Mark Bridge, who headed home from a well-placed cross from Darran Hay.
Eight minutes later, a header from Sean St.Ledger levelled the scores, and in the 70th minute, Jamie Day went on a mazy run before beating Neil Cheek at the near post.
Hitchin fielded what many expect to be their starting line-up for the new campaign, and gave a trial to former Bedford midfielder Aaron Cavill.
