Chris, one of the Southern League’s most prolific goalscorers, joined Hitchin for the second time in June 2006, from Bedford Town. Originally signed late in the 2002-03 season, Chris had an excellent goalscoring record in his short spell at the club, averaging a goal every two games. A Scottish schoolboy cap, Chris was on Luton’s books as a youngster and joined Hitchin from Grays Athletic in March 2003, scoring on his debut. But in January 2004, he left the club to join Bedford Town. At the New Eyrie, Chris scored a half-century of goals, making him one of the hottest properties in the Southern League Premier Division. Last season, despite a number of injuries, he still managed to find the net 15 times. |
