Local football fans may see Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards slalom his way through the opposition defence if he lines up for Jess Conrad's Showbiz XI at Hitchin Town FC.
Edwards, famous for his 'never-say-die' attitude when he participated in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, has promised to appear alongside former Watford and England striker Luther Blissett, Mike McLean from the Richard & Judy show, former Chelsea and Wales front-man Gordon Davies. Other names include former Crystal Palace and Manchester City player Barry Silkman, ex-Eastenders actor Ross Davidson and TV's Paul Hendy.
The Jess Conrad XI will play Kerry Dixon's XI, comprising local players and former team-mates of the ex-Chelsea and England striker. Hitchin Town fans may also get a glimpse of players from the club's past, including Steve Gear, Kevin Mulkern and Jose Whishaw from the 1976-77 FA Cup tie with Swindon Town.
The game will take place on Sunday May 2 with proceeds being split between the Friedreichs Ataxia Group, the various charities endorsed by the Letchworth & Baldock Lions, and Hitchin Town FC.
Kick off is at 3pm, admission price £ 5/£ 3.
All players listed are subject to availability and other engagements permitting, as advised by the Showbiz XI on April 23.
