Hitchin Town go in search of the one point that will make their BGB Premier Division status certain when they meet Merthyr Tydfil in their final home game of the season.
The Canaries are on 47 points and events elsewhere may make them already safe, but 48 points will be enough to guarantee safety. Hitchin fans will be watching the results of Bedford v Corby and Bromsgrove v Team Bath closely.
"We won’t rest until we get what we need to finish the job," said Darran Hay. "We need a point but we will be going all out to win and finish the home programme off in style. There's still work to be done, but the mood is positive."
Merthyr Tydfil secured their Premier place with a 3-0 win against Cirencester in midweek. Earlier this season they beat Hitchin 3-0, and Hay wants to make amends for that result. "At the time, we were not in a good place but things are different now and we are laying the foundations for the future. Merthyr are bringing a lot of fans, we are led to believe, so they will not want to let them down, so it will be a tough game."
Hay's squad is boosted by the return of Luke Gregson after injury. "Luke's fit again and he will play a part. We've missed him, but we do have competition for places at the club," insists Hay.
