Hitchin Town have signed Rob Miller, the former Bedford, Stevenage and Cambridge City utility player.
Miller, who can play in defence or midfield, is 26 years old and started his career with West Ham United. He subsequently played for Coventry City and Cambridge United. He made one Football League appearance with Cambridge United.
The Bedford born player has been abroad, but Hitchin received international clearance this week. He will not be eligible for Tuesday’s FA Cup replay with Clevedon Town, but is expected to make his debut in the FA Trophy at Hampton.
