Canaries take on draw specialists

Hitchin Town play at home to Gloucester City on Saturday, a team that certainly knows how to grind out a draw or two. The Tigers, whose recent history has been plagued with financial problems, have drawn six of their 10 away games this season, and have lost just once in their last 10 league games.

Recent results include draws at Merthyr Tydfil and in-form Bedford, but everything is not all rosy at Gloucester as City manager Chris Burns has recently attacked fans who have been criticising his performance as manager.

Burns has a number of players who have progressed through the ranks at Gloucester, and only this week he rejected a bid for talented right back Lee Smith from Chippenham Town. Gloucester have recently signed on loan much-travelled striker Jason Eaton, but this has not gone down well with the club's fans. If Eaton is not available, Darryl Addis, who joined the club from Cinderford in October should return. Addis has scored just once since he joined the Tigers, and was dropped last week.

Meanwhile, Canaries manager Darren Salton, is calling for a new positive approach at the club. "It's my job to make sure we surround ourselves with positive people. I want to build a strong team spirit throughout the club. We started well last week at Halesowen, where I couldn't have asked for more from my players. If they continue to show that level of commitment, we shall be OK."
