New signings on view at Top Field

Hitchin Town will field their three new signings on Saturday when they face Luton Town at Top Field.
It is the Canaries’ first pre-season game and Luton’s last game before they depart for their tour of Norway. Hitchin manager Darren Salton is likely to unveil his trio of new faces, goalkeeper Ricky Perks, full back Darren Spinks and midfielder Parys Okai.
Hitchin’s pre-season training has been gathering momentum, and Salton has been pleased with both the level of fitness and the team spirit that is developing among his squad. “The lads are improving session by session and there is a high degree of enthusiasm, so by the time we start our league programme, we will be in very good shape.”
Salton is also full of praise for the club’s groundstaff who have worked on Top Field all summer. “The pitch is looking amazing, the best I have seen in my time at the club, and this is down to the hard work of a handful of committed people.”
