Hitchin Town face he prospect of a lucrative local derby with Bedford Town in next season's BGB Southern League Premier Division.
Bedford, relegated from the Conference South, are among half a dozen new names on Hitchin’s fixture list next season.
There will be five new league opponents for the Canaries, although two – Weston Super Mare and Bromsgrove Rovers - have met Hitchin in cup competitions.
The five new clubs also include Bashley, Brackley Town and Swindon Supermarine.
One club presumed relegated have been reprieved Corby Town, while Wealdstone, who staged an escape from relegation, have been shifted to the Ryman Premier Division.
The constitution of the BGB Southern Premier is: Banbury United, Bashley, Bedford Town, Brackley Town, Bromsgrove Rovers, Cheshunt, Chippenham Town, Clevedon Town, Corby Town, Gloucester City, Halesowen Town, Hemel Hempstead, Hitchin Town, Kings Lynn, Mangotsfield United, Merthyr Tydfil, Rugby Town, Swindon Supermarine, Team Bath, Tiverton Town, Weston Super Mare, Yate Town.
The league season will start on Saturday August 18 2007.
