Hitchin Town Ladies are in urgent need of players as the new season approaches. The Ladies need half a dozen new faces by the end of August after losing some key players at the end of last season.
Secretary Heid Nash explains: "There are a number of reasons why we have lost players. Some players have moved up to play at a higher level, some have stopped because of work commitments and some have moved because of rumours that we are folding."
Hitchin Ladies are quick to point out that talk of their demise is purely "idle gossip". "We didn’t have a good season by our standards last season, but we are still a very successful club- we have won promotion in four of the last five seasons."
