Canaries hope to move away from nervous end of table

Hitchin go to Banbury in search of much needed league points in a bid to move away from the bottom end of the BGB Premier table.

They will face a Banbury side that is also going through something of a transition. The Puritans have yet to win at home in the league this season and have won just two of their 13 games. They have drawn their last four, three of which have been away from home. Kieran Sullivan has had a tough baptism as Banbury manager but this week welcomed back old favourite Ollie Stanbridge to the Spencer Stadium.

Hitchin will be without Martin Standen, who has work commitments and the striker will be out for the next few weeks with a five-game suspension.

Also out is Jason James, who may only be available occasionally due to business reasons. But manager Darren Salton welcomes back Shane Hill and Carl Williams after injury and will include Irish utility play Colm Kierans in his squad for the first time. Kierans has played for UCD and Dundalk in the Republic of Ireland.
