Haverhill next for Canaries in FA Cup

Haverhill Rovers will play host to Hitchin after beating fellow Ridgeons Eastern Counties League side Mildenhall in the FA Cup first qualifying round. Haverhill won on Penalties and will meet the Canaries on September 29.

Hitchin have met Haverhill twice before in the FA Cup, the last occasion being in 1989-90 when the Canaries won 3-2 at Hamlet Croft. Previously, the two clubs met in a three game saga in the competition ending in a 3-0 win at Top Field for Hitchin.

Haverhill have had a mixed start to the season, winning two and losing three of their five league games. They are currently sixth from bottom in the Eastern Counties League Premier.
