Hemel game postponed

Tuesday, January 16 2007

Update 3.30 pm, tonights Herts Charity Cup match at Hemel Hempstead has been postponed due to the amount of rain today that has waterlogged the pitch.

Former Top Field favourite Adam Parker and Grant Carney are likely to play a part in tonight's Herts Charity Cup semi-final at Hemel Hempstead.

Manager Darren Salton has recalled Grant Carney from Flackwell Heath and is looking to field Adam Parker, who has appeared once already this season for the Canaries. Glen Lamacraft, who has not started a game in almost two months, is also likely to be in the line-up.

The Herts Charity Cup represents Hitchin’s last chance of cup success this season and Salton is going all out to win, but he sees this game as a real hurdle. “I have watched Hemel a number of times this season and I believe they are one of the best teams in the league- their current position suggests that.”
