Resurgent Corby provide stiff challenge for Hitchin

In-form Corby may prove to be a tougher nut to crack than when Hitchin last met them in November.

Corby have won their last three league games, most recently when they beat Merthyr Tydfil 3-2 last Saturday. Under manager Dougie Keast, the Steelmen have seemingly turned the corner this season and they are now talking of avoiding relegation.

This will be the third time that Hitchin have faced Corby this season. The Canaries won 3-2 in dramatic style in November, but then lost an Errea Cup tie at Top Field.

“Every game is tough,” says Canaries manager Darren Salton. “And Corby’s tails will be up at the moment. They know we have been having a bad time recently, so it will make them doubly difficult to beat.”

Salton may be without Daniel French and Gavin Jaggard, but Matt Childs and Adam Parker will be in the squad.
