Hitchin travel to Rugby Town on Saturday hoping to end an unwanted record at Butlin Road.
The Canaries have lost all four games between the two clubs at Rugby, including the last two league visits. Last season, Hitchin were beaten 4-1 at Butlin Road and the season before, went home with a two-goal defeat.
Manager Darren Salton is expected to reshuffle his side after releasing Josh Sozzo and Rob Miller. Glen Lamacraft is also unavailable this week.
Hitchin are now aiming to get enough points on the board to avoid a relegation battle – they are now nine points off the bottom four and eight points off the play-offs.
“Like a number of teams, our season is in the balance,” said Salton. “A few wins could put us back in contention but a few more defeats will have us looking nervously at the other end of the table.”
Rugby’s recent form has not been impressive, however. They have lost seven of their last 10 games including a 3-1 defeat at Cirencester last weekend.
