Williams happy as Bedford come to town

Hitchin Town play Bedford Town on Saturday (kick off 3pm), with more than a sprinkling of former Canaries’ players in their squad.

Six ex-Hitchin men are in the line-up: Derwayne Stupple, Josh Sozzo, Craig Rydeheard, Graham Clark, Ian Draycott and Rob Miller.

Manager Carl Williams, who has had two spells with Bedford, is expecting a tough afternoon as his pre-season plans are finalised. “We may bring in one or two players, but I am largely happy with my squad. Pre-season has gone well and we have performed well, showing a willingness to play good attacking football I am very pleased,” says Williams.
