Canaries manager Colin Payne was pleased that his team had bounced back against Stourport Swifts. But he admitted that Hitchin's players had been a little nervy at the start of the game. "An early goal would have calmed us down," he said. "We had some chances early on but didn't take advantage."
Payne felt his team had shown a lot of character, particularly after the defeat at Chesham. "It was not our most polished performance, but we needed to get back on track. We are getting down to the nitty-gritty now and some sides will be getting the jitters. We will take any win at the moment, so we are pleased."
