Hitchin Town are hoping to bounce back from only their third league defeat of the season when they face Stourport Swifts today at Top Field (kick off 3pm). The Canaries found themselves off the top of the Zamaretto Midlands Division last Saturday evening and in midweek, Burnham went six points ahead of Colin Payne's men.
Although Hitchin are in second place now, they have two games in hand on Burnham and the two sides will meet in the last game of the season. Today, Burnham are at home to AFC Sudbury.
Hitchin won at Stourport earlier in the season, a game that was something of a bruising encounter. The Worcestershire side are currently in 15th place and have spent the last seven years in that part of the table. They are the worst supported side in the Midlands Division, with an average gate little over 70.
