Canaries may face St.Albans in FA Youth Cup

Hitchin’s youth team may get a local derby with St.Albans in the FA Youth Cup in 2009-10.

The young Canaries will face Southend Manor or St.Albans in the first qualifying round in the week commencing September 21.

If Hitchin make it through that round, they will be at home to Brightlingsea Regent, Thurrock or Burnham Ramblers in the second qualifying round.

Manager Stephen Payne is hoping that Hitchin’s loyal fans will get behind the team for the FA Youth Cup campaign. “I am aware that Hitchin’s fans are very supportive of young players coming through and the youth system in general. I hope we can generate even more interest in the coming season.”
