SOUTHERN COUNTIES FLOODLIT YOUTH LEAGUE

This win was all about spirit and determination and the team should be proud of their efforts in securing a valuable 3 points against the team who ended our unbeaten midweek record back in November.

Second best in the first half, Hitchin trailed 1-0 at the break. All three subs were used at half-time and the performance was much improved. A goal from Ryan Ellis brought the team level midway through the second-half. Centre back Ryan is becoming a prolific scorer and this was the fourth consecutive game in which he has found the net.

When a ball was cleared from the visitors' box 10 minutes later a fantastic 35 yard drive from Callum Winn secured the victory.
The final ten minutes saw the lads' recent hectic Sunday/Wednesday schedule catch up with them, but they held on bravely.
