Hitchin Town Youth v Luton Town Academy

Hitchin Town U15's were extremely lucky to have been asked to play a friendly against this extremely good side.

On a slightly wet evening the boys showed a few nerves at kick off and Luton Town played some fantastic football. Not long into the game Hitchin Town took their chance and Liam Toomey sent us into the lead. Luton Town came back strong and over the next 30 minutes showed some good football and passed the ball around well. By half time Hitchin were 3-1 down. 

The second half started off fast and furious with good football from both sides. Hitchin were getting into their stride and further goals from Liam and Bryn got us back into the game. 3-3

With strength in the squad and determination Hitchin started to command the play all over the pitch, this saw Bryn scoop another goal and Kyle Ronald slam the ball home for a fantastic victory 5-3.

This was an amazing game to watch and showed real courage in a team who are doing so well in the Herts County Cup, League Cup and the Chiltern Youth League.

Well done boys, a win which was well deserved.
