The weather conditions played a major factor in this game, with the wind gusting across the pitch causing no end of defensive problems.

Hitchin took the lead in the first half with a great run from debut player Jack, hitting a fierce shot into the top corner against a very capable Arlesey keeper, who on more than one occasion kept Arlesey in the game.

The equaliser came shortly after half time, resulting from a scramble in the goal mouth.  Although the Tigers kept the pressure on, Arlesey's resistance and weather conditions would not allow a winning goal.
