Already crowned champions, Hitchin completed their fixtures in Division Two of the Royston Crow League with a win over Stotfold.
Played in hot sunshine throughout, both sides laboured at times, but Hitchin's quality going forward and mean defence meant that the result was never really in doubt - especially after man-of-the-match Jake Alderson had scored the opener with a snapshot just inside the penalty area. Jake was again involved as Liam Sweeney made it two nil, before Kameron Bethell hit the post.

Tiredness meant a long wait until the second half had got going before any more goals, but eventually Liam showed good feet with a powerful run and goal, Jake got on the end of a fine cross from Lee Caller and Kameron got arguably the goal of the game late on.
Lee made it seven to complete the scoring and another good day at the office for the under-11s.
Next season, in Division One, will be a much harder test for these boys, but they should all be proud of a wonderful season that has seen them win every league game apart from two draws.
Final score: Hitchin Town U11 7 Stotfold Juniors U11 0
