Despite an excellent pitch and bright sunny weather a very lacklustre performance from Firesharks today and we can be pleased with a 2-1 victory.
A flat uninspiring performance from the boys , we huffed and puffed but could not get it together. A very good goal from Dom after 10 minutes saw him doggedly keep the ball in the area and slot in to make it 1-0. Blues equalised to make it 1-1 and then an equally determined run saw Matt close in on the area from the left channel and fire in across the goal right footed to make it 2-1.
Eiher side could have snatched a goal in the latter stages of the game, two players in particular were in consistent form for Firesharks today, Kayne for a sound defensive performance and Dominic who had an excellent game across 3 different positions.
