It was just like watching Brazil.....................................
The boys reserved their best performance of the season for this last league game and won convincingly 3-0 against Sawbo. a team who are always difficult to break down.
Three fab goals today from three players - firstly Tom P with a huge left foot strike from the left touchline, Matt Howard with a dipping volley from outside the area after he played keepy up a few times with the ball, and another arching volley from Tom K from the right hand channel outside the area saw his shot nestle comfortable in the Sawbo net.
Us parents were left oohing and ahhing on the touchline (and that was just watching the ref....) as the lads showed off with diagonal passes, decoy runs, overlaps, backheels, excellent solid defending and a midfield who soaked up pressure and kept feeding the ball out to our lively wingers. A good team performance and big displays from Oliver and Ben today so it was a close call for Man of the Match.
A well earned 4th place for us in Division 2 then, and only beaten this season by the teams above us... a little more of this style of play earlier in the season would have earned us a higher position but well done to the players.
Thankyous to all at the end of the match and end of our season as Easter Bunny Lorna handed out eggs 
Thanks to Mike for being referee this season and sometimes wino sorry sorry I mean lino, thanks to Tony for lino duties also, to Graham for providing a nice beach and being very tall (helps with nets y'see?) to Fiona who has probably ran off with all our money by now, to Phil and Peter for writing things down and all that adminy stuff , to Peter & Stuart for managing the boys and training them, and especially to you PARENTS (you know who you are)........................
