Fairlands Whites v Hitchin Town Youth U12

A very balanced first half with the boys looking lively and concentrated saw us unlucky to go in 1-0 down at half time.

Fairlands had comprehensively beaten us 4-0 earlier this season and it was pleasing to see us work hard and close down quickly a side who pass and move very well.  With no subs available again the team had a slightly different formation this week which seemed to work well for us most of the game.  A couple of near chances by Hitchin saw shots flash across goal or the very good Whites goalie save well.

A clever move from Whites saw them gain their second goal to make it 2-0 and although we tried hard it seemed unlikely we would break through dangerously,  given Fairlands well marshalled defence which blocked any efforts by us to try to grab one back.
Overall a very pleasing performance from the boys against a good side.
