Hitchin Town Arrows U8's v Pin Green Juniors

A Bright, but bitterly cold morning,saw us travel to Stevenage to play two games of football this morning.

The boys took up their positions, and as the game kicked off, Sam F immediately took possession and headed towards the Pin Green goal. Once inside the  box , he tried a shot at goal, and Peter was there to calmly  ensure it was going in the back of the net!! . 0-1 within the first minute!!

The boys were working extremely hard today, with Daniel, Jack and Peter putting together some lovely passing moves. Sam W and David were solid at the back, and not letting anything pass them, which meant Rhys in goal, had very little to do, apart from get cold !!!

Before half time we went 0-2 up, when Peter took a ball from a throw in, and put a lovely pass through to Sam F who slotted away goal number 2.
 
The second half saw Joe and Max join the play, and they both worked extremely hard to try and find goal number three, we kept on applying relentless pressure, but with the Pin Green Goalkeeper making some excellent saves in the second half  0-2 it ended.
 
A good all round performance today boys, and a well deserved win.

The second match for the boys today saw them start brightly, and were playing their passing game. There was some great midfield play, and when a superb ball  found Sam W in space just outside the area, he confidently  tried a shot, which found the top left hand corner of the net... Fantastic shot Sam ,and 0-1.

Again our defence today was very strong and clearing anything that came into our half,  we also  kept battling in midfield, and sending shots in on goal, but 0-1 it ended.
 
Great results today boys. Well done.
