A sunny but very chilly wind saw us meet with Houghton Athletic. Despite the outcome the boys played well having several periods of domination in the game and were unlucky to have conceded 3 goals against them at the end of play. Houghton started off strong but the Hurricanes countered with some good ball control by all players, showing improvement on recent weeks. Matt and Callum put in great performances saving everything that could be saved and closing down play respectively, Alfie too made some good clearances from our end. Simmy made some important moves heading away a Houghton ball looking for our goal and later a free kick. Ruman demonstrated great control picking up the free kick from Simmy and a well placed corner from Oli, however he was to be thwarted by good defending. Lee made his trademark bursts up the flank into the Houghton area but was challenged every time. Although the boys lost they held their heads high to the end and never gave up battling.
