Hitchin Town FC got to Wembley Stadium at the weekend - their Under 8's team were visitors to the new venue as it opened its doors for the first event.
The whole squad went for the day and they set off in style early in the morning on the Hitchin Town team bus, which was hired specially for them from Cozys Travel.
The boys and their parents were among the first to see and try out the facilities and it got the thumbs up from everyone.
Chris Willoughby, the Under 8's manager said:" It was a fantastic day out and something that everyone will remember for years to come. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and the atmosphere they experienced was terrific. Lets hope some of them end up back there on the pitch one day!'
The team - who play in the Royston Crow League - watched BBC pundit and ex-pro Mark Bright score the first goal and enjoyed a series of video programmes on the big screen and celebrity challenge matches on the pitch.
They even made it back to Top Field in time for the second half of the match against Banbury - but the result didn't round off the day perfectly as the seniors lost 2-1.
