The under 10s lost this top of the table clash narrowly, after a real battle with one of the best sides in the Chiltern Junior Sevens Division Two.
It was always going to be close and Luton came into the game fired up after losing two nil at home to Hitchin earlier in the season.
A first half of few chances saw a couple of free-kicks from Jake go just over and a good save from Luke to defy the Dragons.
The game opened up in the second half, with more chances but most had a nagging feeling that there would only be a single goal in it.

Ryan shoots against the Dragons
Kameron and Ryan both had good chances saved, whilst Luton nearly scored in a scramble that saw them hit the post and Alfie clear off the line.
Christian shot wide, then Ryan, Kameron and Christian combined well for another effort at goal. But Hitchin were not at their flowing best and eventually went a goal down after a Luton forward wasn't closed down as he picked up the ball on the edge of the box. He sent a thunderbolt onto the bar, which another forward poked home on the follow-up.
Hitchin dominated the last few minutes but failed to create a clear chance and Luton's tackling and organisation was impressive. A disappointing result, but good overall performance against tough opposition.
