Firesharks U10's v Bushmead Rovers

Firesharks are early season leaders of division 1 on goal difference after an emphatic win against Bushmead. Another good hard working team performance from all gave us a resounding 7-1 win.
Superb individual performances I felt today from Nick, Andy and Joe M. Dominic looked completely at ease today and had some nice touches and a great goal. Kayne and Ethan marshalled defence well, Courtney was strong and good in the box whilst Joe F slotted through some lovely passes and Ryan was confident and commanding in goal .
For our first Joe M crossed, Dom flicked on and Courtney touched in from close range. Ryan was then called into action with a superb acrobatic save from a free kick. Ryan kicked out long and Joe M rolled the defender before volleying in a net buster to make it 2-0. Nick put in an ouststanding run to end in a left foot volley right across face of goal to go in far left post - superb.
Rovers goalie mistimed his goal kick and Joe M sent the ball back into the net to make it 4-0 at half time. Courtney sent over a bye line right wing cross for Dom to slide in for one of his specials, and another good long kick from Ryan saw Courtney turn the defender, chest it on in the box and fire in. Nick made it seven with a mazy dribble ending in a fierce shot the goalie could not hold.
Great display from the boys - a good win.
