What a feast of first half football U12's treated us to this morning! With a completely new formation and changed positions the boys took hold of this game from kick off and looked confident, in control and more importantly...........very happy with themselves.
A tough and well distributing midfield saw Matt H, James and Billy deliver the passes for Tom K and Ryan on the wings and Dale up front to cause huge problems to Celtic. Ben was active and causing problems also.
Tom Pa, Sam and Tom Pr shared defensive duties and this worked well.
Three good goals, from Dale via a corner, from Tom K close in the box and from James to cooly slot in when one on one with the keeper put us firmly in the driving seat and it could have been more.
Second half saw Celtic try to claw their way back in and a well taken goal was followed up by a penalty awarded for a trip in the area. Matt R narrowly missed saving this one and we were under the cosh for a while although the introduction of Oliver in the second half saw some strength and nice touches including an Oli corner hitting the post .
Relief at the final whistle for a thoroughly deserved three points, great team display and mouth watering new formation....................
