Hitchin Town Hurricanes U10's v Bushmead Rovers Blues U10’s

Like the pitch prior to the start of the game The Hurricane boys took a while to warm up.  Bushmead, showing us some nice passing, took on early control in the first half.  Nevertheless the first half saw some memorable play take place in the form of: Lee - quality free kicks from which Callum nearly opened the lead off the rebound, Jack made a great cross past the Bushmead goal mouth, and in the final few seconds of the first half Ruman’s shot just skimmed off the post.

The second half saw Hitchin take on more control with good defending by Rhys and Callum.  Ruman, Jack and Alfie showed us some quality passing with Simmy and Oli battling hard.  Hitchin again had some attempts: superb blaster shots by Lee, Alfie and Jack just going wide, with another Alfie shot just going over the cross-bar Ruman too took another shot on goal.  However it was to be a goal drought for Hitchin, and Bushmead too thanks to Matt’s excellent goal keeping managing to keep out at least three good Bushmead attempts.

Man of the Match: Matt (well deserved, without him it may have been a very different game)
