This comfortable win got the league season going with a bang, following the disappointment of last week's goalless draw in the first game.
A competitive first 15 minutes saw Hitchin dominate possession without creating too many clear-cut chances, but the floodgates opened once Kameron had been put through for an excellent finish.
A beauty from Jake Alderson, lofting into the net from the far right corner of the box, made it 2-0, followed by Kameron's second and a brace from man-of-the-match Liam just before half-time.
With Stortford wilting, Hitchin were in the mood for more goals. They duly followed in the second half as a good run and shot by James was saved only to be followed up neatly by Kameron for his third and Hitchin's sixth.
Lee made it seven with a header, followed by a fourth for Kameron. Jake Holbrook made it nine from an Ollie free-kick, whilst double figures was hit as Paddy drove into the net from an Alfie corner.
Bishops Stortford kept going to the end, but this was clearly a good first win for the Hitchin lads
