Hitchin U7's 2007-08 Season - the story so far..

Monday, December 10 2007

A hugely promising first half of the season from the Under 7s has seen them emerge as one of the strongest sides in their division.

With only 3 defeats in the first 15 games, the 13-strong squad has been competitive and strong in all positions and notched up some impressive victories. Kane and William have alternated in goal and both have been a safe pair of hands. Sam, Patrick, and Kai have defended with tenacity and good positional sense and an impressive 9 clean sheets has been the springboard for a number of tight wins against strong opponents. James, Joshua, Jonathan and Steven have excelled in midfield and provided great support for the forwards, William, Vinay, Joel and Sam.

William and Sam have led the way with 6 and 3 goals each and Kane, Sam, Patrick, Jonathan and Vinay have all chipped in with vital scores.

The boys play with great enthusiasm and team spirit and the weekly training has seen great improvements in passing, skills and movement. Coaches Paul and Ian must take a lot of credit for rotating the squad to give all the boys a chance to contribute.
