The Under 12s paied the penalty for dominating this game early on without finding the back of the net.

The home started really well and were easily on top for the first 20 minutes. There was some really good linked up play and some decent football being played to create chances for Seb, Adam, Ben and Zac. It was one of those days though when well hit shots always seemed to go just wide and as the half progressed the visitors started to gain composure and it remained 0:0 at half time.

Rangers looked a better team in the second half but it was still against the run of play when a defensive slip let them in to score. As these things often go a second goal followed when a speculative cross-come-shot from the wing found the net.

2:0 to the visitors it remained although Hitchin battled to the very end of the game to pull a goal back. An disappointing result in many ways for the home team but they have learnt the hard way that you have to take your chances when you get them.

Man of the Match was Daniel O'M for a battling performance at centre back.

Next week the boys are away to Stotfold Juniors.
