Hitchin Town Youth FC Parents / Guardians Code of Conduct and Agreement

All Parents/Guardians have a great influence on childrens' enjoyment and success in football. To make this as successful as we can whilst they are playing for HTYFC, when you sign our membership agreement to register your child/young person as a member of this club, you are bound by this code of conduct and its terms.

HTYFC agrees to provide

1. A safe environment in which the player can learn and develop without fear of abuse.

2. Participation in football matches arranged by the League and Herts FA.

3. Screened (via the Criminal Records Bureau) and qualified coaching staff.

4. A Code of Conduct and Rules for HTYFC.

5. An Anti Discrimination Policy.

6. A Child Welfare Policy.

7. An undertaking that at all times the welfare of the child/young person will be given the highest priority.

Parents/Guardians agree to :

1. Have respect towards match officials and accept decisions without protest or dissent.

2. Show due respect to match officials at all times.

3. Abide by the decisions and team selection of the Manager.

4. Discuss with the manager matters relating to their child/young person at times mutually convenient to both but not on match days.

5. Ensure that the child/young person is prompt in attendance for training and matches and arrives at the time requested.

6. Advises the Manager in advance if the player is not able to attend a training session or match.

7. Encourage all players in the team but DOES NOT COACH.

8. Ensure that the child/young person is aware of the Codes of Conduct relating to Players and understands their responsibilities.

9. Be responsible for their child/young person at all times.

10. Agree to abide by the clubs policies on Anti Discrimination, Codes of Conduct and Rules and regulations.

Parents/Guardians are reminded that :

HTYFC cannot accept responsibility for any loss of the players belongings.

The kit remains the property of HTYFC and needs to be returned when asked.

HTYFC cannot accept any liability for injury to any player.

HTYFC will allow parents/guardians to drop off players for training/matches but parents/guardians remain responsible for their child/young person (this responsibility DOES NOT transfer to the manager or coaches)

Any dispute between a Team Manager and Parent/Guardian which cannot be resolved, and in the manager’s opinion is having a detrimental effect/is not in the best interests of HTYFC, may be referred to the Club Chairperson and Executive Committee for action and can lead to expulsion from the Club.
